Preliminary conclusions of Colonial Office

Currency Committee are that proposal to remain on silver basis is gound and remaining proposals for reorganization of currency and creation of currency board are acceptable, but

not finally banking representatives and Treasur, are committed to this view, and before reaching any decision I shall await your report and recommendations on reception of

report locally.
